Prefers bright, indirect light
Too much direct light in warmer months may burn foliage

Water thoroughly every one to two weeks
Avoid excess watering; facilitate drainage using a well-draining pot after plant has acquired all the water it needs

Avoid letting soil sit in water which can lead to root rot
